It is a great honor for me to serve the School District of Washburn as your Superintendent. I grew up in this beautiful community, located on the shores of Lake Superior in Chequamegon Bay. The Washburn community offers a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere with an established arts scene, an abundance of outdoor and cultural experiences, thriving local businesses, and a strong sense of community.
I am incredibly proud of our mission: connecting to educate, inspire, and empower. We are grateful for our dedicated staff, supportive families, and engaged community members who work together to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. Our schools have a strong reputation for academic excellence focused on the whole learner, and I am committed to building upon this foundation.
In addition to our academic focus, Washburn schools are committed to outdoor learning and utilizing green and healthy practices. This is a testament to our dedication to protecting our planet and promoting the well-being of our students and staff.
