The School District of Washburn is creating an ad hoc Finance Focus Group, and we want your expertise and perspective. We believe that a school district is at its strongest when its financial roadmap reflects the values and priorities of the community it serves. This collaboration ensures that as the district faces common Wisconsin challenges—such as declining enrollment trends or the "gap" between state funding and the actual cost of education—the resulting plan reflects the community's specific values. Ultimately, this group serves as a bridge between technical state funding formulas and the local mission to provide a high-quality education for every student in Washburn.

Big Improvements Ahead: School Renovation Schedule

Construction and renovation projects approved in the November 2024 capital referendum will begin this summer, immediately after graduation. Following mobilization in early June, crews will be on-site for approximately 16–18 months.
