It is with great honor and excitement that I return to the Washburn School District as your Superintendent. I grew up in this beautiful community, located on the shores of Lake Superior in Chequamegon Bay. The Washburn community offers a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere with an established music/arts scene, many outdoor and cultural experiences, thriving local businesses, and a strong sense of community. 

I am incredibly proud of our mission commitment to providing high-quality education that prepares students for success in their future endeavors. We are proud of our dedicated staff, supportive families, and engaged community members who work together to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. Our schools have a strong reputation for academic excellence, and I am committed to building upon this foundation.

In addition to our academic focus, Washburn schools are known for their commitment to outdoor education/learning and utilizing green and healthy practices. This is a testament to our dedication to protecting our planet and promoting the well-being of our students and staff.

I look forward to working closely with our students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members to create a culture of excellence in all we do. We believe that every student has the potential to achieve great things, and we are dedicated to providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
